物产资源

　　临沂市农产品和建材资源丰富，有着巨大的开发潜力。
全市粮食、花生、蔬菜、干鲜果品、肉类、禽蛋、水产品等在山东省名列前茅。苍山大蒜、平邑金银花、郯城银杏、蒙山全蝎等土特产品，闻名中外。
全市已发现矿产66种，其中黄金是山东两大产区之一；金刚石是中国两大产区之一；花岗石、石灰石、石膏、石英砂石、陶瓷土、明矾石、白云岩、粘土

等储量和质量在中国的沿海地区都是最大、最好的，适宜建设大型建材企业。到2002年底，全市水泥持产能力达到3600万吨，石材加工能力达到1000多万平方米，石膏开采能力达到800多万吨，墙体材料生产能力达到20000万平方米，已形成较大规模的建材生产基地。
全市年平均降水量242亿立方米。大中型水库41座，水资源总量120亿立方米，是全省天然水资源最丰富的地区。同时，郯城、平邑、蒙阴、临沭、沂水等地富有优质天然矿泉，很有开发价值。

　　Linyi has abundant agricultural products and building materials resources with high development potentials.
The output volume of grain, peanuts, vegetables, fresh and dried fruits, meat, poutry and eggs and aquatic products all rank high in the province. Local specialities, such as Cangshan garlic, Pingyi honeysuckle, Tancheng ginkgo and Mengshan scorpion are famous both at home and abroad. 66 kinds of mineral resources have been identified, gold is one of the two largest production areas of the province. The diamond is one of the two

largest production areas of the whole country. Linyi has the richest resources and best quality of granite, limestone, plaster,quartzine, potter's clay, alumstone, dolomite and clay in the coastal areas of China. It is suitable to establish large building material enterprises. Till the end of 1995, the city has the production capacity of cement of 14 million tons, production capacity of wall materials of 10 million square meters. A large-scale building materials production base has been formed.
Linyi has an annual average production of 14.2 billion cubic meters. There are 26 large-and-middle-sized resvoirs with total water reservation of 7billion cubic meters,being the richest area of natural water resources.
And Tancheng, Pingyi, Mengyin, Linshu and Yishui and other places are rich in high-grade natural water, having high development value.
